The vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur turned RED with excitement as the historic clash between the LIVERPOOL and MANCHESTER UNITED Legends took place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium featuring a 4-day tour of the city which included meet-and-greet sessions with fans, a visit to the Fipper office, a golfing tournament and other engagements that saw an overwhelming turnout of fans showing up to support their favourite players.
The EPL Legends arrived in a jovial mood despite major flight delays, lost luggages and being stuck in the midtown rush hour traffic for hours. It was an exciting few days of fan engagements, coaching clinics and the massive game that saw more than 26,000 fans purchase tickets for the big match.
The Legends were welcomed with the warmest Malaysian hospitality locally and they even got to try DURIAN!
The Liverpool Legends line-up was made up of Legends David James, Luis Garcia, Emile Heskey, Glen Johnson, John Arne Riise, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer, Steve McManaman, Jason McAteer, Florent Sinama, John Durnin, David Thompson, Jermaine Pennant, Djibril Cisse, and Phil Babb.
Manchester United Legends were represented by Dwight Yorke, Teddy Sheringham, David May, Wes Brown, Clayton Blackmore, Keith Gillespie, Ben Thornley, Eric Djemba Djemba, Paul Rachubka, Russell Beardsmore, Lee Martin, Danny Webber, Mikael Silvestre, Quinton Fortune, Dimitar Berbatov, Erik Nevland, and Dion Dublin.
