The groundbreaking 5-day Thailand tour came to a grand finale with a stunning exhibition match with the Manchester Reds claiming victory over the Liverpool Reds at the Bangkok National Stadium.
Proudly organised by World Football Legends Asia and Ask Me Thailand, with partnering sponsors Aco Media, AG Asia Group Berhad, Meiji, Conrad Hotel Bangkok and in collaboration with the Thailand Tourism Board, the Legends were introduced to the culture and warm hospitality of the fans from their arrival in sunny Krung’Thep.
Featuring lineups on both sides with big names like Paul Scholes, Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, Ronny Johnsen, John Arne Riise, Dwight Yorke, Teddy Sheringham, Patrik Berger, Lee Sharpe and many more, the Thailand tour garnered a huge following of support on each day as the Legends travelled around for press conferences, fan engagment sessions, coaching clinic sessions for the children and the highly anticipated exhibition match.
The Thai hosts also took the Legends on a cultural introduction as they visited the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, fund-raising for the flash food victims, as well as a sunset dinner on the Chao Phraya River cruise against the backdrop of Bangkok.
It was definitely a memorable week for the Legends and fans as we draw to a close on this epic tour in Bangkok, Thailand!
